Looking to recruit a new Consultant (engineers) to join our Local Goverment team in Birmingham.

You will be required to design public transport infrastructure and / or urban regeneration projects.

Key Requirements:

A degree, HNC or other relevant qualification in a relevant discipline.

Experience:

Previous experience in public transport or related project areas.

Primary Duties:

Carry out project design work as required in accordance with the integrated management system (IMS) and as directed by the Senior or Principal Consultant.
Support and mentor other team members in the performance of feasibility assessments, studies, preliminary and detailed design for the development of public transport infrastructure and / or urban regeneration and development scheme.
Establish effective working relationships with customers to ensure best value service provision.
Provide sound technical skills to ensure project requirements are met.
Comply with Health, Safety, Environmental and other required regulations.
Establish and maintain effective working relationships with all work team members, clients and external parties to enhance the reputation.

Typical Activities:

To work positively to support the achievement of project level financial targets.
To develop a good reputation both internally and with customers for the manner in which design duties are undertaken.
To monitor and report on project costs as required by the quality plan.
To support in the achievement of better than acceptable outcomes for audits against the IMS.

Proficient in MS Office
