Excellent opportunity for a configuration manager to work on one of the UK's biggest rail projects.

Purpose of the Job:
To develop, produce and implement Configuration Management (CM) processes, procedures and activities for Crossrail and act as the focal point for all Configuration Management activities.

Principle Accountabilities:
- CM Planning
- CM Implementation
- Support to Assurance

Responsibilities cover the Configuration Management for the whole project, which includes substantial new surface railway works and the upgrading, renewal or enhancement of the existing surface network.

Job holder requires a good understanding of:
- Effective CM processes and activities in a railway environment
- Major project delivery within a matrix management organisation
- Inferfacing with people at all levels
- Environmental issues
- Health & Safety and CDM

Job Holder is required to:
- Set and maintain a high level of professional performance.
- Ensure consistency across the CM function throughout the various project phases.
- Represent the company to appropriate external parties as and when required.
- Attend meetings and make presentations at appropriate levels, up to and including, Board meetings.

Knowledge, Skill & Experience:
- Working knowledge of configuration management practices.
- System engineering Lifecylces
- Good Interpersonal skills

Chartered Engineering and a member of a relevant professional body or equivalent.

Bachelor Degree or equivalent
