Our Client is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer with a background in the aerospace or automotive industry with particular skills in structural fibre reinforced composite structure assembly and component manufacture.

Our Client is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer with a background in the aerospace or automotive industry with particular skills in structural fibre reinforced composite structure assembly and component manufacture.
The successful candidate will have:
A full understanding of clean room working requirements
Experience in composite structures assembly
Understanding of composite structural bonding requirements and joining techniques
Experience with the use of fibre reinforced resin systems
Knowledge of Autoclave and oven curing techniques
Knowledge of vacuum bag & bleed pack construction
Full understanding of the use of consumable materials
Experience of aluminium & fibre reinforced face skin/honeycomb sandwich panel manufacture
Experience in specifying tooling requirements for composite component assembly
Understanding of working within an MRP environment
Familiar with working in an ISO 9000 environment
A proactive approach to shop floor liaison & problem solving
Experience of the following would be useful
Filament Winding
5s
Kaizen
Familiar with Microsoft Word & Project
Qualifications and/or Skills
Essential: HND in Materials, Composites or related subjects
Desirable: Degree in Materials Engineering or related subject
Previous Experience
Essential: Engineering and practical and knowledge of forming, processing and machining composite components.
Ability to manage and supervise other personnel
Desirable: Fully experienced manufacturing composites development/production engineer. First hand knowledge of composite component assembly techniques
Successful candidates will be required to be security cleared prior to appointment.
