Description
salary - to £40K dependant upon experience + excellent benefits package including relocation where applicable.
To contribute to the development of analysis methods and processes in support of project stress teams.
Either directly, or via team, carry out metallic static stress method evaluation for application to design solutions for a range of tasks, ranging from concept design to manufacturing Concessions and certification requirements.
Ensure that existing instructions are followed.

Ensure that existing instructions are followed.
Cooperate with other team members, local, and transnational to ensure harmonisation and consistency of analysis methods.
Provide direct support to stress teams, by participating in meetings and reviews.
Report critical technical issues up through functional management.
Support on-going continuous improvement initiatives to increase team efficiency through methods, process and other capability improvements.
Provide technical instruction on methods and associated tools.
When required, undertake appropriate, associated project management tasks.
The following skills/qualities will be required:
Strong Experience working as an aircraft stress engineer, or relevant industry involved in the analysis of metallic (or composite) structures using a broad range of standard hand and computer methods.
The ability to rapidly and confidently assess structural problems under pressure and to provide the appropriate direction and guidance to team members.
The ability to develop and coach less experienced stress engineers.
A good understanding of aircraft components, production methods, and processes.
The ability to ensure that solutions are technically integrated and properly communicated.
Team leadership with high regard for both internal and external customers, whilst maintaining Aircraft integrity as the over-riding principle.
Aeronautical Engineering degree or equivalent.
