Description
The successful candidate will be working within a quality assessment laboratory environment performing destructive analysis and inspection of electrical, electronic and electromechanical components (EEE).
You will perform Destructive Physical Analysis (DPA) and Inspection of Electrical, Electronic and Electromechanical components (EEE).

The successful candidate will be working within a quality assessment laboratory environment performing destructive analysis and inspection of electrical, electronic and electromechanical components (EEE).
You will perform Destructive Physical Analysis (DPA) and Inspection of Electrical, Electronic and Electromechanical components (EEE).
You will be required to:
Ensure all samples under test meet the pertinent specification
Liaise with Planners to ensure that all work is carried out to the required priority and the appropriate duration.
Identify any non conformances to requirements to the Laboratory Manager.
Carry out Component Assessment and Internal Visual Inspection at suppliers premises, when required.
Ensure that all technical and commercial contractual obligations are met in accordance with customer and Company objectives.
To work safely within the requirements of National and International legislation applicable to a Components Laboratory.
Keep up to date in the developments of Component Engineering and the pertinent controlling Specification.
Qualifications and experience
Practical experience of component quality assessment activities in either military, automotive, aerospace or space environment would be ideal for this role but candidates with
experience in the use and application of some or all of the following would also be considered:
Optical microscopes
Electron Microscopes
Focused Ion Beam
Bond pull/die shear equipment
Radiographic inspection
Chemical deprocessing
Plasma deprocessing
Microsectioning
We would like you to have experience of the interpretation of Component specifications and procedures.
Additionally the candidate should have a flexible approach and be able to work on their own initiative.
Successful candidates will be required to be security cleared prior to appointment.
