Commissioning/ Software Engineer
Peterborough Area
Up to £40,000

40 hours per week: Monday - Friday 8am - 5pm

Our client specilaises in the design and manufacture of control systems for a wide ranging customer base in the food and process manufacturing sector. The range of services offered, is an indication of their committed approach to being a key partner to their customers. From initial design through to the manufacturing and commissioning stages, they provide a professional and focused service.

Due to increased orders they are looking for a commissioning engineer to support and become involved with the customers to include the commissioning of software. You will liaise with customers; look at their requirements, get involved with software quotes and work with designers to offer problem solving solutions to any issues. This role integrates systems together, you will write software on a mix of platforms and SCADA. You will have the ability to commission machinery using Allen Bradley PLCs. This is a multi discipline role and requires individuals with a "can do" attitude and does involve travel throughout the UK and worldwide.

All applicants need to have strong Allen Bradley PLC experience and commission both Software and motion controls.

You will need a good understanding of electrical systems and have a good understanding of controls relating to production machinery.

This role could well be ideal for a service engineer wanting to have an office based role with travel or even a maintenance engineer looking to get more involved with clients and their machinery modificatiions etc etc.
