Description
Job Purpose:
Due to the increased demands of the Astute Class Project there is a requirement to increase the size of the Dockside Test Organisation.
Opportunities exist for successful candidates on the following test sections: Ship, Propulsion, Weapons, Reactor
Successful candidates will have a proven track record of commissioning and/or operating in a submarine environment. Minimum qualification requirements are HNC in an appropriate engineering discipline.
Key Duties of the role are:
Competent and experienced Electrical/Mechanical Engineers with responsibilities for Commissioning, Operations and Support Services for systems & equipments related to Submarines to authorised documentation.
Responsible for the Commissioning, Trials, Operation & Setting to Work of Systems / Equipment as appropriate.
Represent the Company on Contractors Sea Trials and other outworking requirements including guarantee periods as applicable.
Responsible for research and compilation of appropriate documentation to the required standard.
