An exciting opportunity has arisen for the position of Commercial and Contracts Manager for a leading engineering and construction company.
The ideal candidate will have solid commercial contracts experience, ideally with a civil engineering background. The position will be based from their Chepstow office with the requirement of a day's travel every fortnight. You will report and be accountable to the Projects Director for the provision of advice on all issues relating to commercial contracts and provide guidance and training for all staff involved in contracts.
Responsibilities:-Advising sales, projects and purchasing personnel on all aspects of contracts.
-Reviewing and agreeing subcontracts prior to signature.
-Training of staff in contractual issues.
-The review and analysis of re-estimated work and explanation of the changes in prices to the customer.
-The issue of up to date tender build-ups throughout the company.
-For the administration and issuing of bonds to customers.
-Sub-contractor payment certification.
-Responsible for commercial staff within the Projects Department
Requirements:-
Ideally Civil Engineering qualification/ experience.
-Solid Commercial contracts experience.
-Personable candidate who has excellent customer service skills.
Salary:-35-50k dependant on experience.
