My client one of the world's leading engineering and plant building companies for the international metals industry, who to date have completed more than 1300 major industrial projects in some 80 countries are looking for a Commercial Project Manager to work from there Sheffield office.

My client one of the world's leading engineering and plant building companies for the international metals industry, who to date have completed more than 1300 major industrial projects in some 80 countries are looking for a Commercial Project Manager to work from there Sheffield office.
The Business/ Process department are looking to recruit for roles in the Plate Mill, business segment. As a Contracts Executive you will handle the following responsibilities and the skills required are listed below:
Tasks
• Responsible for commercial issues post contract signature
• Negotiations with clients and consortium partners for post contract changes / variations
• Commenting on contracts amendments and additional orders
• Risk management and claims management
• Management of letters of credit and monitoring the invoicing of payments
• Arranging project insurances, and taxes
• Working closely with the divisional project manager to identify and report all issues that may have an impact on the project finances
• Monitoring the financial exposure of the Company during the life of the project
• Identifying opportunities to improve the project margins
Skills / Knowledge
• A Degree in Engineering, Project Management or Business related topic would be desired
• Broad commercial knowledge
• Project management
• Methodical approach
• Good analytical skills with reference to complex procedures
• Good level of knowledge regarding customer relations
• Conflict management
• Negotiating skills in German (desirable)
• Negotiating skills in English
• Knowledge of other languages such as French / Spanish desirable
