Description
A large firm of construction consultants seeks either an Intermediate or Senior Commercial Manager for rail based projects.
Our client is a large multi discipline firm of construction consultants. They now have a requirement for either an Intermediate or Senior Commercial Manager to join them in Chelmsford, Essex to worn on Netowkr Rail projects to deliver Civils Renewals projects as part of a 5 years framework agreement. You will be a Quantity Surveyor and will carry out contract cost management of the client's regional framework contractor adhering to predeterminded processes and reporting functions. Experience of pre-contract cost management including take-off, validation of quantities, use of estimating software, estimating, validation, preperation of target cost contract documentation, agreement of the contract award process, liaison with project controls and input into the risk and value management process in the pre-contract stage of the projects. Post contract duties include management of compliance with client corporate governance including financial authority levels, implementation and administration of contract agreements including instructions and contractual correspondence, provision of financial reporting, assistant with budget control and forecasting, mitigation of risks and claim events and settlement of final accounts. Experience of civils and rail projects is required and a BSc in Quantity Surveyor or equivalent and MRICS would be preferred.
