Commercial Manager - This is a considerable opportunity to join a first rate Defence Commercial team that is consistently working on new programmes within the various Programme Directorate business both in the UK and overseas. You will be responsible for Commercial Management - Business Winning & Business Delivery across the prospect & project lifecycle for a number of key business programs.
The position is based in Surrey but will require travel to other sites, mainly in the UK but may well extend to some overseas travel, including Saudi Arabia.
Commercial solutioneering, proposal preparation, business case preparation, negotiation, contract management all as a part of an integrated Campaign Team and Integrated Project Team.
The Commercial Manager will be educated to Degree standard and will have experience of Commercial business winning (desirable), Negotiation (desirable), Contract Management (desirable), attention to detail (desirable), creative lateral thinking (desirable), good oral communication skills (desirable) and excellent written communication skills (desirable).
It requires someone able to think laterally but pragmatically. It requires an individual who is able to work on a number of different projects at the same time, many of which will involve novel contracting arrangements. The individual must be a team player but also capable of operating independently as a key member of an Integrated. Campaign Team or Integrated Project Team. It will be a stretching role from which the right candidate will be able to significantly widen their business experience.
