Civil / Structural Design Co-ordinator
An excellent opportunity with a main Civil Engineering contractor!
Salary and Location
£30,000 - £35,000 Basic + Car or Allowance
Located in South London
Role Description
As a Civil Design Co-ordinator you will be working on civil and structural projects within the rail industry. Using your design capabilities, the Civil Design Co-ordinator will liaise with the workforce and Project Manager on site and advise on technical issues and problems. You must be able to problem solve quickly and effectively and act accordingly to apply civil / structural design methods.
The projects range up to £30m and the Civil Design Co-ordinator will oversee each stage from initial design through to modifications and finally the completed structure / civil project. Typical projects you will be looking over include bridge upgrades, station rebuilds, tunnel strengthening and various civil Infrastructure works. A keen eye for detail and quality is required alongside excellent oral and written communication skills.
Required Experience
You need to have previous experience in heavy civil engineering projects; be it highways, rail, airports or within the water industry. You must also have a minimum of one year design experience and one year of site experience in a hands on role. This must be accompanied by a civil qualification be it HNC / HND / Degree.
Benefits Package
Salary ranges from £30,000 - £35,000 depending on project experience, skills and ability. Additional benefits include private health care, pension scheme and car or car allowance. Full training is provided, be it in house or external qualifications, to help you progress your career.
