Description

Looking for experienced Civil Design Engineers at all levels to join our team.

The successful applicant will have the flexiblity of working in any of the following offices:
Birmingham, Bristol, Croydon, Derby, Glasgow, Swindon, Warrington or York.

Requirements:

.Appropriate level of experience in civil or structural design /consultancy
.Good understanding of the rail industry or other similar safety critical industry and associated rules and regulations essential
.Good computer skills
.Civil Engineering Degree (or equivalent)
.Appropriate health and safety training certificates
.Preference will be given to Chartered Engineer / near chartered engineers
.Experience in working on rail sites to carry out surveys and investigations would be beneficial
.Experience of working within multi-disciplinary teams preferable


Responsibilities:

.Provide engineering judgement, technical leadership and experience within a team
.Mentor less experienced engineers on design/consultancy processes
.Supervise and lead the work of a team, ensuring that it is carried out to the appropriate technical standard
.Act as a team leader/lead designer, ensuring optimum use of the resources for delivering projects on railway infrastructure
.Ensure the work of a team is managed to programme and budget
.Where appropriate you will take the role of Project Manager which includes liaising with the client and responsibility for commercial issues
