Civil Engineer invited to join World Class manufacturer of plasterboard and associated products. You will be required to manage and oversee on-site civil projects in an area of outstanding natural beauty. You will be involved in the design, development and construction of projects in the built and natural environment. You will ensure the safe, timely and well-resourced completion of projects. You will liaise with clients to plan, manage, design and supervise the construction of projects.

You will liaise with clients to plan, manage, design and supervise the construction of projects. Candidates should be Chartered Engineers with relevant industry experience in a Civil Engineering discipline, with HNC or above (or equivalent) in Civil or Structural Engineering. Fixed 18 month contract.
Key accountabilities:
•Civil Engineering technical safety performance objectives as defined by standards or required in projects and monitor compliance.
•Assist with the civil engineering element of new capital work as requested.
•Ensure technical standards are set, briefed and implement all relevant projects.
•Represent Civil Engineering interest within the profession and the industry.
•Agree competence standards for relevant works and ensure systems are in place such that contractors have the correct skills to carry out the work.
•Determining and applying correct balance between technical safety and reliability objectives and ensuring this balance is maintained within the Project Civil Engineering activities
•Reviewing Civil Engineering technical safety performance
•Identifying and developing technical improvements for enhancing business performance
•Provision or procurement of Civil Engineering design services where required internally or under contractual commitments
•Undertaking strategic overview of Civil Engineering opportunities and achievement for input into the Business Plan.

•Budgetary control of civil projects delivered safely within correct timescales without detriment to the environment

Education
We are seeking candidates who possess a degree in Civil or Structural Engineering, or equivalent, however, we will consider applicants who have a relevant HNC or equivalent. A relevant professional qualification/Chartered Status would be advantageous.
