CHIEF/ PRICIPAL/ SENIOR CABLE ENGINEERS
ENGINEERING CONSULTANCY
NEWCASTLE/ MANCHESTER/ GLASGOW/ GODALMING
Due to continued success, we are seeking Cables Engineers to provide the a technical role in all aspects of Cable Engineering. You will be expected to be involved in all technical activities associated with cable systems, including design, manufacture, testing and installation of transmission and distribution cables both underground and subsea, ac or dc application.
You will also be involved in the conceptual design, specification and engineering review of cable systems up to 400kV and all associated installation matters.
To succeed as Cable Engineer, you should ideally be qualified to degree level in Electrical Engineering or with equivalent experience and you will have proven technical capability associated with the design and/or application of cables and cable systems at voltages up to 400kv. Experience in submarine cables would be an added benefit.
Experience will ideally have been gained in a Transmission Utility, Consultancy or Manufacturing environment. You must be flexible to travel on short term assignments.
