Chief Engineer / Engineering Manager - Electrical

Reporting directly to the Managing Director, you will be responsible for the successful hardware and software design of all system contracts, all hardware and software application engineers, commissioning of systems in the field, company engineering standards and systems engineering liaison.
Since 1967, our client has been engineering high-performance drives and control systems for industry, through thousands of systems in a broad array of applications, they have learned what it takes to make a system live up to its potential to maximise output and minimise downtime, to increase efficiency and productivity, and to cut operation and maintenance expenses. Right now due to new business development they are looking to recruit a Chief Engineer / Engineering Manager.
Reporting directly to the Managing Director, you will be responsible for the successful hardware and software design of all system contracts, all hardware and software application engineers, commissioning of systems in the field, company engineering standards and systems engineering liaison with the company.
The successful candidate will have knowledge and skills in power electronics, analogue/digital control techniques, microprocessor techniques, DC and AC motor technology, measurement/ control techniques and design of software associated with PLC and/or microcomputers operating in real time. It is also essential that you have HMI skills and good working CAD knowledge.
In return out client offers a basic salary of £30,000 to £45,000, company pension scheme, BUPA and 23 days holiday + 8 statutory per annum (rises day per year to max of 25)
