An exciting opportunity now exists for a Chief Engineer to join the Clean Energy Product Group of one of the worlds leading providers of technology, product innovation, engineering solutions and strategic consulting to the worlds automotive, transport and energy industries.
The Clean Energy Product Group is responsible for developing and executing projects for clean energy customers. The focus is on product engineering from concept to production and in service problem resolution. The group covers devices and systems that range from 1KW micro CHP systems to 5MW+ wind and tidal turbines.
As Chief Engineer, you will be responsible for building the companys image as the leading engineering consultancy to the wind industry through managing the development of the companys Wind Energy business and delivering the projects when won.
In particular, you will be responsible for defining the customer target strategy, defining internal research and development activities, developing technical selling materials, leading engagement with potential customers, identifying projects the company can bid for, leading the development of bids for major projects, developing the project structures to ensure successful delivery, delivering projects within the companys Product Group Engineering Operations matrix structure and managing both customer delivery and internal requirements.
Qualified to degree level in a relevant engineering discipline, you will be an experienced wind energy professional with a proven track record in delivering technical product development projects. Ideally you will have substantial experience of working for a Wind turbine manufacturer, major subsystem manufacturer, Wind energy consultancy, Wind farm manager/operator or the Wind energy division of a major utility.
