Our client is a blue-chip, international market leader in its field. Due to recent contract award and significant increase in business volumes, they are seeking the services of a professional, competent and technically minded Managing / Chief Draftsman / CAD Manager.
Our client is a blue-chip, international market leader in its field. Due to recent contract award and significant increase in business volumes, they are seeking the services of a professional, competent and technically minded Managing / Chief Draftsman / CAD Manager. You will primarily be involved with the following:
- Management and Control of Design Resources
- Preparation of Equipment Layout drawings for insulated substations at high and extra high voltage levels(132Kv and 400Kv)
- Preparation of Power Cable Layout drawings and preparation of cable schedules and drumming schedules for the power cables
- Preparation of cable ladder racking layouts or cable tray layouts and cable trenching drawings for power and multi-core control cables
- Preparation of power cables and cable tray support structures along with material takeoff for all the accessories
- Carrying out of cable routing exercise and preparation of cable schedules, drumming schedules , cable tray in fills and gland schedules.
- Underground and above ground earthing arrangement drawings and associated material take-offs
- Review of manufacturer's drawings and incorporation in the design along with checking of all mechanical and civil interfaces.
- Preparation of CAD standards
- Technical Document control
You will be highly self-motivated, well versed in best practice within the industry and be looking for a new, challenging opportunity to develop your career. You will be up to date with industry design protocols and packages. Specific package knowledge is less important than specific industry or technical skills. You could have exposure to ProEngineer, AutoCad, Microstation, etc.
