A leading engineering company are looking for a Channel Sales Manager to co-ordinate sales activity across India.
This position is ideally suited to a Technical Sales Engineer with experience in selling services and or mechanical/and or electrical products to the Rotational equipment market eg Engines, Compressors & Turbines, and a proven track record selling into the Marine, Oil & Gas, Rail and Power Generation markets. A valve background would be advantageous but not essential.
ESSENTIAL TASKS & DUTIES:
Channel Business Development
- Develop and execute growth strategy plans to increase account penetration
- Anticipate and analyze customer (current and future) needs, industry market segment trends.
- Execute market and segment growth strategy
- Identify new markets and new projects
- Provide Key Account Management when necessary.
Channel Management
- Set up channel goals and conduct channel results review
- To increase revenue and margin level for each representative and distributors
- Conduct channel selection, termination and consolidation
- Train sales channels in company products
Channel Marketing
- Launch new products in the territory
- Provide competitive intelligence
- Provide information and intelligence for new products and solutions
- Provide customer and channel relationship management
QUALIFICATIONS:
Knowledge & Skills
- Solid working knowledge of assigned market segment/industry i.e. rotational equipment selling into oil and gas, power, marine etc. - -Ideally a technical sales background/knowledge of working with technical channel partners, to sell application based products and solutions to end users/rotational equipment market.
Education Minimum Requirements/Equivalent:
- Technical Qualification ideally engineering degree i.e. Mechanical, Electrical, General Engineering or equivalent work experience.
WORKING CONDITIONS: Based in territory with approximately 50% of time travelling. Must have valid driving licence.
The salary for the role is £26k-£30k+ bonus, car allowance, pension, and excellent scope for career progression.
