Description
Process Engineering position within a forward thinking company that manufactures ceramic cores used in the manufacture gas turbines for power plant and aerospace industries. Requires a good understanding of tooling, dimensional analysis and an ability to interpret 3D engineering drawings.
Salary & Location: £24,000 28,000 + Overtime + excellent holiday allowance + contributory pension.

The Role: The role will focus on three key areas: 1.) reducing waste and increasing yields through analysis of data and implementation of more efficient manufacturing methods. 2.) reacting to unexpected production issues and implementing reactive production strategies. 3.) project managing the introduction of new processes for new products. This includes sourcing and costing tooling, arranging for new process to be introduced into production and providing post introduction production support. This is very much a problem solving role and your responsibility would be to make sure the product gets out the door as efficiently and in the highest quality as possible you would not be responsible for productivities. You will be a senior member of the team.
The Candidate:
Strong understanding of tooling processes from any moulding industry
Understand and able to implement dimensional analysis
Ability to interpret 3D engineering drawings
Problem solving skills
Autonomous, driven.
The Company: Although the company have a worldwide presence, this site is the European base of this section of the business. Specialising in the precision manufacture gas turbines they supply to all the major end producers in the power plant and aerospace engine build industries. This role specifically fits into the ceramic core department an area of the company that is currently undergoing significant growth.
