Cell Leader - skilled in CNC machinists, apprentice trained.
Reporting to the Manufacturing Controller you will be responsible for ensuring manufacturing is adhered to as per production plan. The role is a mix of hands on machining and team supervision to ensure all objectives are met. The candidate should have strong leadership and problem solving skills in finding practical solutions to production issues.
The role will involve:
• Supervision of a team of CNC/manual operators
• Responsibility of meeting and surpassing KPIs on a daily basis (H&S, production output, delivery performance, efficiency, arrears, quality)
• Hands on machining experience and capability
• Ability to lead and motivate others to achieve company targets
• Internal and external customer focus for both quality and on time deliveries
• Robust approach to problem solving
• Daily reporting on issues affecting production
• Implementation and management of lean initiatives
The candidate should be a skilled CNC machinist, ideally apprentice trained. They should have previous experience or demonstrate ability to supervise and motivate others. The candidate should also have working knowledge of management procedures in a manufacturing environment.
