Our client is looking for an experienced Technician to join their North West based team
To perform tank calibration and stockpile measurement services at our customers sites
Reporting to
Engineering & Instrumentation Manager, Ellesmere Port
Key Accountabilities
Perform in-service testing activities including;
Booking meters into system
Performing tests as specified
Recording test data in appropriate spreadsheets/databases
Maintain a working knowledge of the international standards relating to gas meters ie EN1359, EN 12480, EN 12261 and EN 14236
Perform tank calibration and stockpile services in the field to meet client requirements, both within the UK and overseas.
Maintain a detailed knowledge of international standards relating to the calibration of tanks to support service to customer.
Work with E&I Manager to generate and issue department invoices to meet agreed deadlines
Communicate with customer contacts providing a quick and accurate response to their needs and record all communications in order to maintain a high level of service
Investigate customer complaints and rectify / report back in a timely manner, utilising SGS CAPR system to restore customer confidence in the service provided
Ensure compliance to all industry standards and SGS quality system

Skills & Knowledge
Essential
Computer literate; particularly excel, access database
Effective interpersonal skills
Desirable
Knowledge of meter calibration processes
Working knowledge of IP, ISO, ASTM methods relating to tank calibration activities
