C.A.E Analyst

The Role:
The job will involve the use of predictive analysis (CAE) on engine components and systems for the Companys engine groups and external customers using commercially available CFD and engine simulation software and Company developed software and processes.
You will work at a workstation within a dynamic CAE team environment undertaking single tasks or projects and will report to a CAE team leader or project manager. The nature of CAE projects and their visibility within the organisation demands ownership of the tasks carried out and attention to detail.
Typical tasks will include:
Engine performance analysis and optimisation
3-D air and coolant system analysis
Data gathering and liaison within the organisation
Report writing
Preparation of project related presentation material
Requirements:
Knowledge of engine workings, underlying theoretical principles of either engine simulation or CFD modelling
Proven CFD analysis (STAR-CD preferable) experience of complex internal flows with knowledge and application of Pro-AM (preferable) to the generation and preparation of CFD meshes of complex geometries,
OR,
Proven Internal-Combustion engine simulation experience on engine development programmes with knowledge of model creation and validation
Working knowledge of GT-Power engine simulation on IC engines preferable
Good communication skills (written and oral)
PC knowledge of MS office (word, project, excel and PowerPoint)
Pro-active, questioning mindset, enthusiastic and self-motivated
