CNC Setter/Operator is required to work for an Automotive company based in Northampton.
We are looking for a CNC setter/operator to work for an Automotive manufacturing company based in Northampton.
The company is a world leader in race engine manufacture with experience spanning over four decades. They manufacture high performance engines and components and have supplied them to Formula one teams and vehicle manufacturers.
You must have the following skills and attributes:
Experience in a CNC machining on 4 axis/5axis machines.
Ideally you would of used machinery with either Fanuc/Heidenhain controls
Must of worked with a wide range of materials
Experience of working within a high precision industry (such as Aerospace and Motorsport) to strict tolerances
Be able to read, interpret and communicate technical information
Demonstrate a thorough working knowledge of work-holding methods, tool selection criteria, cutting tool parameters, manual machining techniques and setting and operating a range of CNC machine tools
You must have served an Apprenticeship with City and Guilds/NVQ's in manufacturing engineering.
It is desirable you have NC programming, however not essential.
The salary is circa 22,000 per annum.

You will be working 39 hours per week, Mon - Thurs 07:30 - 16:30 and Fri 07:30 - 15:30.
