To instruct in the field of Signals on Armoured Fighting Vehicles in accordance with the relevant Course Folder and programme as specified by the Authority .
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
> To instruct students to operate and maintain Bowman radio installations to VHF Operator standard as per the relevant Course Folder (CF)
> To instruct students to undertake radio repair as per the relevant CF
> To implement AFV CIS School security arrangements
> To supervise students during revision periods
> To maintain student Course Record Folder (CRF) and data
> To instruct in discrete areas of other courses as directed by the Authority
> To report all faults of GFE/GFF used during training
> To provide surge instruction in TTW or time of tension
> To be responsible for your own welfare by following the Health, Safety and Environmental Policy and other related policies such as Equal Opportunities, Harassment, Disability and Data Protection etc
MANAGEMENT/COMMUNICATION
> To communicate honestly with your Line Manager
> To be responsible for your own time keeping and attendance at work
> To achieve deadlines/targets that have been set by your Line Manager
> To work within your departmental budget and assist in the control of costs
> To assist your Line Manager to implement change within the department
> To communicate and liaise with all other departments, as required
> To assist your Line Manager to work towards the Business Plan and Long-term/Strategic objectives
REVIEWS AND PLANNING
> To be available to be appraised by your immediate Line Manager in a timely manner
TRAINING AND EVALUATION
> To ensure that you receive any agreed training that has been identified either at appraisal or outside of appraisal
> To complete requests for training documentation and discuss this fully with your Line Manager in a timely manner in line with the Staff Training Procedure
> In conjunction with your Line Manager evaluate the effectiveness of the training and development activities you have undertaken
> To effectively utilise new skills from your training
RESPONSIBILITIES
> To work within the Company's Quality procedures within relevant departments
> To assist in maintaining the IIP standard
> To be aware of Health and Safety at Work Regulations and environmental issues
> To be aware of actions necessary in cases of accident or fire
> To keep your work area clean and safe
> To undertake/perform other duties associated with this role, by agreement
> To act as an ambassador for the Company
