Our client is a leader in the global emission technology industry serving worldwide light and commercial vehicle manufacturers with operations in 19 countries and 7,500 employees worldwide. Due to expanding business they have exciting opportunities at their purpose-build technical centre in Lancashire. Working with the emissions technologies engineering teams you will have access to leading edge test and engineering facilities.
Successful candidates will support the development of after treatment products through application of fluid dynamics knowledge as well as Computational Fluid Dynamics techniques. Specific responsibilities will include the following:
•Create 3D CFD models using STAR-CD software, for commercial vehicle exhaust after treatment systems in Europe and US.
•As a part of a multifunctional team, develop product designs, which are manufacturable, cost effective and which meet customer specifications.
•Communicate CFD results to internal and external customers.
You will be qualified to degree level or higher with an emphasis on CFD. Experience in applying CFD in industry would be an advantage, however candidates with less experience and strong acedemic background will also be considered. Knowledge of STAR-CD is desirable, as is familiarity with Pro*am, ICEM/HEXA and HyperMesh. You must be able to work analytically and be goal-driven.
