A leading aerospace manufacturer is looking for a Process & Method Engineer to work a 6 month contract.
Job Role:
The role will specialise around CATIA V5 process and methods, with specific input to Enriched 3D/Elimination of 2D drawings. The individual will represent aerospace engineering at cross discipline sessions, identifying and approaching missing stakeholders.
Understanding of aerospace engineering process, customers and milestones is advantageous to ensure that the impact of this significant technology and cultural change is understood and communicated.
The individual would ideally demonstrate Knowledge Based Engineering experience, in support of the migration from Company developed ICAD applications. Ability to obtain research and understanding of existing technical aerospace engineering processes and requirements is ideal, to understand and subsequently support this activity, to a level of competency that enables them to run and support testing of the developments.
As a result of this detailed appreciation of CATIA V5, the individual would ideally identify opportunities to exploit the digital data throughout aerospace engineering. Working specifically to make existing processes leaner, and to develop new opportunities for enhancement. .
Ideally applicants will have the following:
* A good working knowledge, higher education, or a forces background in the aerospace industry.
* Detailed understanding of CATIA V5 functionality and how best this can be deployed, would be advantageous.
* Ability to interface disciplines on behalf of aerospace engineering, whilst considering the product lifecycle at all times, would be ideal but not necessary.
* An understanding of change management principals would be ideal but not necessary.
