The CATIA V5 Design Engineers activity will be to create, modify and release drawings in CATIA V4 to support the Plant Vehicle Team (PVT) at Solihull. In additon to this there will be a need to interrogate, investigate & interpret customer feedback data in support of the Sheet Metal Variation Reduction Team (VRT). There will be a need to produce & maintain tracking & reporting matrices to support the weekly VRT report out forums & meetings. The successful candidate will be required to work with minimal supervision; flexibility is a main requirement where the type tasks can vary from day to day. Ability to use appropriate quality tools and techniques
PC skills-Microsoft Applications especially excel & powerpoint. Knowledge of pivot tables & generally IT literate, with a good grasp of Intranet & Internet navigation
Skills Preferred: Ability to interogate CADDS 5 would be an advantage to enable interogation of the engineerig on the older vehicle lines. The successful applicant should have a working appreciation of general engineering & preferably body structures. Knowledge of 6 sigma/ 8D or other quality tools an advantage. AIMS experience." Experience Required: Experience Data Analysis, ideally in the field of automotive sheet metal pressing design
Experience Preferred: Experience of Product Change systems
Knowledge of FPDS project management process
Experience of B.I.W. Manufacturing support and Quality Management tools would be an advantage. Minimum of HNC / HND required The successful candidate should have drive and commitment to work with minimal supervision. This position will be based at Solihull
