Assystem are currently working as a preferred supplier to a vehicle manufacturer who is expanding its Project Engineering team. The current role is for an experienced CATIA V5 design engineer to work within the powertrain group on engine and transmission design packaging and integration.

Assystem are currently working as a preferred supplier to a vehicle manufacturer who is expanding its Project Engineering team. The current role is for an experienced CATIA V5 design engineer to work within the powertrain group on engine and transmission design packaging and integration.
THE MAIN PURPOSE OF THE ROLE
Using CATIA V5 to design & engineer powertrain components & systems with a focus on engine design, integration and installation into a vehicle package (base engine, powertrain mounts)
Integration and packaging of the specified powertrain components using CATIA V5 to meet system and vehicle targets
Support and evaluate results of component testing
Liaise with tier 1 & 2 suppliers
Support powertrain & vehicle development activities
Support vehicle manufacturing
The successful applicant will be an expert user of CATIA V5 and have extensive powertrain and engine packaging experience. Ideally degree qualified although non graduates will be considered with suitable experience.
