Description
Our Client requires a CATIA V5 Application Support & Methodology Engineer. Required to deliver the technical requirements for the support and mainten
nce of the CATIA V5 Application Software.Providing daily end-user support and developing methodologies on Catia V5. Problem solving and issue resolution. Developing and documenting new "best-practice" methods, workflows and standards in a logical and succinct manner. Ability to deliver classroom training sessions to support the deployment of new methods. Ability to administer CATIA v5 and configure is preferred but not essential. Due to the integration of Siemens Teamcenter PDM with CATIA v5 there will be an element of working with the on-site PDM support team and supporting issue resolutions. Having PDM / Teamcenter knowledge is useful but not essential. Management of our 3rd level support and technical supplier partners to ensure the company is achieving the best effectiveness and resource from our support contracts. Willingness to travel abroad, should the need arise, to support future Engineering Support projects with our parent company and subsidiaries.
Person Specification:
Educated to HND/Degree Level. High level of competency in CATIA V5. Ideally within the Automotive Industry. Good appreciation and understanding of the product development lifecycle process. Good appreciation, expertise and knowledge of Windows IT Infrastructure. A Pro-active and successful problem solver, who has the ability to work on their own initiative. Highly motivated, flexible and organised team player who is capable at working at all levels with both technical business partners across functions within the organisation. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Ideally: Broad experience in a CAD/PDM application support role, preferably operating in a Windows Environment. Min technical experience of support CATIA V5, ideally with CATIA system. Administraton skills but not essential. (module-by-module breakdown of expertise should be supplied). Understanding of CAD/PDM interaction (Teamcenter Engineering experience preferred). Automate processes in CATIA V5, CATscript, Visual Basic. Word, Excel, Powerpoint and appropriate project management tools and excellent PC skills required.
