Road Loads Analyst: Multi-body dynamic simulation of systems in a semi and/or fully analytic environment to derive loads data for CAE durability assessments using measured road load data (RLD) or full simulation.
Position Title: CAE Analyst

Location: Basildon
Position Description:
Customers are body & chassis CAE engineers both in-house and at suppliers as well as rig testing areas. Application of existing in-house methods (after familiarisation) and where applicable develop further analytical methods and procedures for the generation and validation of Load data.
Skills Required:
Proficient in use of ADAMS/Chassis software package for simulation and modelling. Ability to ensure quality of data generated by critical analysis of both the methods used for simulation and the subsequent results to ensure that the real component and system performance is achieved. Able to produce detail or summary reports to accompany loads data. Understands principles of operation of the most common vehicle suspension architectures.
Skills Preferred:
Familiarity of UNIX environment.
Experience Required:
Experience of Multi-body dynamics applied to analysis of suspension systems in the automotive or related sector. Computer literate, MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Previous experience of acquiring or working with Road Loads.
Experience Preferred:
Experience with Nsoft or similar signal processing software. Knowledge of vehicle structural durability testing processes both physical and virtual. Understanding of factors affecting strength and fatigue. Experience in applying strategies for data reduction and accelerating / condensing test schedules.
Education Required:
Engineering Degree or equivalent.
