CAD Engineer - Hampshire
Summary of Post:
Mixture of PCB layout and mechanical CAD tasks.
To create and maintain PCB and schematic designs in support of assigned projects, based on data from project engineers where appropriate
To work closely with project team members to ensure the timely and successful delivery of projects
Keep updated with latest developments in technology
Ensure regular communication with the commercial, project management and marketing team
Duties:
Schematic creation, modification and maintenance
BOM creation
PCB layout, modification and maintenance
Devise & execute design for touch-screen / slider / button / matrix patterns
Provide mechanical design and drafting
Define appropriate materials and component selection and help sourcing
Participate in team design reviews as appropriate
Be able to operate Workshop tools for PCB milling, Laser cutting etc
To assist in the creation and maintenance of a component part number database
Disseminate technical information & inputs from customers as appropriate
Project task coordination and planning
Provide timely status reports on projects to Team Leader / Engineering Director
Support existing products
Position/Skill Requirements:
Experience with tools such as Solidworks, CorelDraw, Pcad etc.
Able to work to very tight timelines and interact well with engineers to determine specs.
Knowledge and experience with tools such as Solidworks, CorelDraw, Pcad
BSc or BEng Hons Electronics (perhaps Mechanical Engineering) 2:2 min
