Do you want to work for a highly regarded employer in their Procurement Department? An excellent opportunity has arisen to work with their development team, duties will be varied and include sourcing and managing and developing suppliers. Negotiation overall performance including cost, quality and timescales. Generally taking responsibility for a product range and ensuring the manufacturing team have the best quality products on time to specification. Interested?

Overall duties
As part of the procurement team you will work closely with the R & D teams and supporting the manufacturing area, which includes Clean room environments.
Sourcing new supplier and manage them thereafter
Develop relationships with supplier, and monitor their performance through KPI's to improved standards where possible
Negotiate all aspects of service with suppliers including: total quality, cost and on time delivery
Order placement and progressing

Skills
Applications will be considered from candidates with previous experience in a similar environment, including supporting clean rooms. This will include people who are currently working as progress chaser/order placer or as a full blow buyer!
Previous experience with an ERP system ie MRP is essential. Cross training is provided
You will develop rapport with internal departments
You will obviously have excellent communication skills and be proficient using MS office packages
