Description
Buyer - Offshore / Oil & Gas Industry
Company
My client is a successful engineering manufacturing service provider. They provide medium to heavy fabrication, machining and assembly services to a wide range of industries since 1955, with a large market presence in the Offshore and Oil & Gas industries. Based in Lowestoft with access to adjacent dockside facilities their site spans 7.5 acres and over recent years has benefited from continuous investment making it one of the best equipped facilities of its type.
Position
Due to an ever increasing workload and the winning of a major contract, they currently have a need for an experienced Buyer. The ideal candidate must have experience dealing with buying / purchasing / procurement of components and sub-assemblies, and of dealing with contracting companies in the offshore and/or oil & gas industries. Ideally you will also have experience of purchasing parts for sub-sea drilling. A Purchasing qualification such as CIPS would be a distinct advantage, but is by no means essential.

This role can be offered on either a contract or permanent basis and is open on rates depending on the individuals, skill, knowledge and experience.
