An exciting opportunity for a Buyer has arisen with our client in Newport, South Wales; a world-leading supplier of communications solutions that deliver increased military capability. The Buyer will be responsible for working within a Military Vehicle programme supply chain and manage the end to end supply of electronic and mechanical materials ensuring the best price and delivery schedule to support the programme. Candidates will have experience in dealing with raw material and component suppliers, with a working knowledge of placing and managing purchase orders, MRP systems, and negotiation and cost management. Experience with supplier management is essential as well as the ability to work under pressure with minimal supervision. Experience of military connector and cable harnesses or metalwork would be desirable. Successful applicants will be required to be security cleared prior to appointment.
