As this is a new role starting up a business unit, most of the responsibilities and objectives will be driven by the successful candidate in order to ensure that our clients Wind Turbine Business Unit becomes an independent profit centre within the company. The role will require extensive travel in order to meet targets and ensure excellent customer relations.
As Business Manager your responsibilities will include leadership of a small team of engineers, which will increase with planned growth, planning, forecasting and organisation engineering resource both externally and from other internal teams in order to support growing business demand and management of customer relationships with existing customers whilst acquiring new customers in order to meet challenging targets.
You will become both the technical specialist and ambassador for the company, ensuring that our client becomes the market leader for Driveline in the Wind Energy sector. You will regularly furnish the Board with accurate business activity reports with plans and forecasts for revenue, resource, customers and opportunity updates.
For the Business Manager role you will need to be degree qualified with an engineering or science background and some experience in the Wind Energy field. You will also have a proven track record of successful business development, be able to meet the challenge of setting up a new business area, coping with fluid objectives and resource management.
