A unique and challenging opportunity has a arisen for an experienced Business Development Manager to grow the Oil and Gas division of a global independent consultancy company.

Due to continuous growth of the company there is the need to capitalise further on the Oil & Gas market. The company plays an important role in the development of infrastructure around the world, working on numerous international projects from its UK base. A specialist area is that of designing LNG and LPG import/export terminals and storage facilities and also has considerable expertise in the decommissioning of oil and gas rigs.

Responsibilities:
-To provide and communicate business opportunities within & across the Divisions
-To undertake a strategic market review into the oil and gas sector including appraisal of clients, services, regions and identification of opportunities for profitable growth.
-To develop a business plan for the oil and gas sector.
-To share information across the Divisions to stimulate awareness of sector opportunities.
-To liaise with the Marketing and Communications Support Group to develop awareness and profile raising of the Company within the sector (exhibitions, publications etc)
-To develop and own the Company profile within the sector via committee membership, papers etc.
-Member of the senior management team and will actively work with other Business Managers and their teams in terms of potential leads and delivery of business management and market consolidation.

Requirements:
-With excellent communication and presentation skills, the right candidate will have a proven ability in influencing at senior levels, and the ability to demonstrate a sound commercial awareness.
-ChemE/MBA or equivalent accreditation to support the complex nature of business development and technical input required for the position.
-Significant experience at a senior level within the oil and gas sector.
-Proven business development experience
-Solid technical background and involvement in the following sectors: -Large scale oil and gas projects, Petrochemical/LNG/LPG sector, Energy Market, Business Development
-Experience of working and influencing within a matrix management structure
-Extensive oil and gas network and/or profile.

Salary:-£40-60k (dependant on experience)
