An exciting opportunity for Business Development manager has arisen with our client in Newport, a world-leading supplier of communications solutions that deliver increased military capability. The purpose of the BD Manager is to develop and execute strategies to win profitable business in accordance with my clients targets, in order to contribute to the projected growth plans over the next five years. Responsibilities include identifying marker developments and pursuing strategic opportunities both in the short and long term. Developing, building and maintaining customer relationships and establishing wider relationships in the international defence environment. Managing and co-ordinating multi-disciplinary teams from within the client in response to business opportunities and customer relationships and Developing and writing new business proposals. Candidates will have a deep understanding of the defence market, ideally in C4I, Logistics Information Systems, electronic architectures and vehicle integration or support services in the land environment. Excellent communication skills with a commercial acumen and a proactive, self disciplined nature that is able to work to sales and BD targets. Successful applicants will be required to be security cleared prior to appointment.
