Business Development Manager - specialist cable & connector products & high voltage encapsulated electronic assemblies to the aerospace, defence and oil industries. You will be responsible for the generation & closure of new business opportunities from within the UK defence market.
The role will be to identify, investigate & pursue a significant level of business opportunities for Manufacturing work from within the UK Defence market. To develop customer accounts, contacts & business within the UK defence market. Identifying & understanding customer expectations associated with each developed opportunity. Ensuring expectations are met through the bid process to customer follow up & closure. To contribute to forecasting of future business levels. Monitoring Progress and reporting.
The Business Development Manager must have a thorough knowledge and experience of the working of the defence market and in particular the MOD and its major Primes. You must have good technical background of (essentially) Microwave products and (preferably) other fields in which the company may engage as new business. Should be resourceful and have a flexible approach to carrying out the above duties and responsibilities. Must be a strategic, open-minded individual with the ability to contribute to a longer term sales strategy for the business. Must be able to communicate well with customers (technical and commercial) and internal staff.
