An exciting opportunity has arisen for the position of Business Development Manager for one of Europe's leading independent logistics and repair companies.
This successful company are looking for an exceptional candidate to develop one of their Key Accounts in the UK and into Europe. This company are looking to grow business with this communications giant and need a candidate with European business experience. It is important that applicants have business knowledge across logistics, repair and/ or installations, and ability to leverage learning. You will be required to travel globally, but there will be requirement to attend meetings at their Nuneaton office.
Responsibilities:-The role will support benchmarking competitors and market research to build a portfolio of business development opportunities.
- Development opportunities to include new service provision, new geographical areas or increasing profitability of an existing service.
Principle Accountabilities will include:-
-UK preparation of business cases for known opportunities, such as Futuredial and customisation.
-Global - ensure a robust service is designed and delivered, and find further customers to use it.
-Europe/ EMAPA develop a targeted approach for other European / EMAPA countries.
-Assist in delivery of the 3 year account plan.
Requirements:- Degree qualified or equivalent.
-Business knowledge across logistics, repair and/or installations, and ability to leverage learning.
-European or International Business Development experience; ability to build relationships across a range of operating cultures.
-Ability to build strong, strategic relationships with customers, excellent communication skills and ability to influence senior players.
-Ability to gain trust, and demonstrate delivery on promises.
-Not a sales person, but able to persuade new countries about benefits of partnership and impact of logistics upon customer experience.
-Able to initiate approaches, build relationships and gain momentum for business initiatives and then hand over to solution design team, whilst keeping a watching brief on the evolving relationship.
-Experience of making commercial assessments in order to prioritise opportunities and effort.
-Creativity and innovation.
Salary:-Up to 55k dependant on experience.
