To carry out the M&E planned maintenance and reactive works at various Marks & Spencers buildings. This includes Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM), Reactive Works, Project Works in accordance with both client and Facilities requirements.
Responsible To:Contract Manager
Location:M&S Office Contract
Dimensions:The mechanical and electrical contract covers the following sites: Waterside House, The Point.
Subordinates:Specialist sub-contractors
Principle Accountabilities:
Adherence to set engineering standards in accordance with the Health and Safety at Work Act (HaSaWA). Carry out risk assessments in conjunction with the team and ensure risk are minimized and reported accordingly.
To carry out and ensure PPM are completed in accordance with set schedules, ensuring engineering standards are maintained in order to maximise the operational effectiveness and reliability of the Plant and associated systems.
To carry out additional work / projects as required by line management.
To respond in a prompt and effective manner to all reactive issues and help desk requests. To develop opportunities with customers to provide technical solutions to engineering problems
To provide attendance to visiting specialist service providers associated with the PPM schedules.
To respond to callouts and cover breakdowns and emergencies as required by the contract. The role will require ad-hoc overtime working where workload dictates and the call out arrangements need monitoring and reacting to as and when required
Carry out any reasonable request from the management team.
To respond in a prompt and effective manner to all reactive maintenance issues and help desk requests.
To provide attendance to visiting specialist service providers associated with the PPM schedules.
To effectively carry out the M&E planned maintenance and reactive works at the various Thames Water sites in the Reading and Swindon areas.
Qualifications and Experience :
At least 4 years experience within a similar role.
City& Guilds 236 Electrical part 1&2 (or equivalent).
City & Guilds Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent).
City & Guilds Electrical Inspection & Testing an advantage.
HV Switching experience an advantage.
Refrigeration experience an advantage.
A good Level of interpersonal and customer relationship skills.
Experience of BMS and Lighting Control Systems
