Description

Braking and Steering Control System Engineer.

This position will involve completion of essential development of Braking and Steering Control Systems.

This will entail:
management of changes to system requirements and design
supplier liaison and technical management
modelling and simulation to validate requirements and design
support to software and integrated system test
review and creation of documentation
involvement in associated activities including but not limited to: Safety, Reliability, Maintainability, Risk, Maturity, Certification
support to operators of the systems

Braking and Steering Control System Engineer.

The successful candidate will join the Braking and Steering team, and will play a key role in the successful in-service operation and development of the aircraft. He/she will need to have a good engineering qualification, have good interpersonal skills, and have either the experience or the potential to become a valuable contributor to the success of the programme and the wider BSCS team.

Skills, Abilities, Experience and Qualifications:

System specification & design (Hydraulic and/or Mechanical and/or Electrical)
Control system design & modelling (especially Matlab/Simulink)
System integration and test
Equipment design

Ability to work within an Integrated Product Team
Ability to deliver to challenging program timescales.
Good verbal and written communications skills.
Ability to work in close co-operation with our vendors & subcontractors (Transnational)
System Engineering
Aerospace Industry or similar field
Ability to learn quickly
Teamwork
Proactivity

Engineering degree or equivalent (Aerospace, Mechanical, Electrical / Electronic or related subject)
