EON is one of the UKs leading power and gas companies. An opportunity has arisen in Coventry for an experienced, qualified engineer, with extensive understanding of Power Station operations to join as a Boiler Integrity Engineer.

Help develop & deliver the effective engineering and maintenance strategy for E.ONs Boiler and Pressure Systems, having resource and financial planning and control to ensure the operation, engineering health, integrity and performance of the asset, in a safe, efficient and sustainable manner, maximising the commercial benefit within legal requirements
• Develop and implement Boiler & Pressure Systems Engineering & Maintenance strategies, policies and procedures to achieve measured performance as defined in the Business Plan (financial, availability, efficiency, H & S, environmental) to programme, budget and quality.
• Manage plant area budgets as nominated
• Implement initiatives to improve the management of safety, contributing to the achievement of the company safety objectives
• Assist in the management of staff performance, training & development, morale, productivity and competence
• Ensure best practice is employed within plant area
• Advise on the requirement for, and preparing on behalf of the Team Leader, effective contract specifications.
Ideally you:
• have a suitable engineering degree or HNC, plus extensive exp. in an appropriate engineering discipline
• are a Chartered Engineer or are actively working towards chartered status
• possess an extensive understanding of Power Station operations combined with in-depth knowledge and exp of engineering and maintenance practice in relation to the relevant plant area.
have an extensive understanding of health and safety and environmental legislation and standards, qualified to NEBOSH/IOSH standard, or equivalent
• are trained and competent in safety assessment - previously produced documents such as risk assessments, method statements, manual handling, hot work assessments.
