Position
The Bids Manager will manage, direct and be accountable for the delivery of costed, business winning proposals, on time to a given high standard and to budget.
The Bids Manager will co-ordinate and drive bid team to submit timely and professional bids, also be responsible for costing/estimating cost elements of the bid. The Bids Manager will carrying out risk analysis for each bid. The Bids Manager will identify the effort requirements of bids and planning for forecasted wins in conjunction with Resource Manager. The Bids Manager will be involved in the production of high quality bid documents, helping to maintain a library of up-to-date material for use in bids, proposals and pre-qualifications bid processes, making sure all procedures are followed and authorised levels are adhered to. The Bids Manager sill be liaising with Internal - Management team Sales Commercial Mgr and External - Customers (both current & potential) Third-party suppliers
The Bids Manager will demonstrate strong leadership and motivational qualities and be able to demonstrate good negotiation skills. The Bids Manager will have good commercial awareness and be able to develop good 3rd party relationships. The Bids Manager will be able to influence and communicate effectively at all levels and have good networking skills. The Bids Manager will be a confident self-starter with a can do attitude and able to multi-task, prioritise workloads effectively and be able to deal with a variety of tasks. The Bids Manager will be able to create and deliver presentations in a customer-facing environment. The Bids Manager will ideally educated to Degree level or equivalent experience demonstrated. You will be working to tight timescales so the ability to work under pressure. The Bids Manager will be flexible and able to travel when required, this is essential.
