Battery Assembly Technician is required to work in Milton Keynes for an well-established F1 company.
We are looking for a Battery Assembly Technician to work for an F1 company based in Milton Keynes.
You will be performing electro-mechanical assembly and associated test activities in the production of high voltage battery systems and lower voltage battery modules for a project.
Your main duties will include:
Assembly of high voltage battery systems and modules following assembly drawings, wiring diagrams and safety guidelines
Perform testing on battery modules and high voltage battery systems, to include standard validation as needed
Perform testing on battery management systems to verify functional performance, troubleshoot and repair high voltage battery systems as needed
Maintain detailed records of assembly and test work, inventory and stock
You should have these relevant skills/experience:
Previous experience in precision mechanical, hydraulic, electrical and electronic system assembly, potentially gained through an Electric/Hybrid vehicles, aero or rail environment
Fundamental knowledge of electrical system behaviour and fault diagnosis
Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and assembly documentation
Ability to think 'out of the box' to identify problems and propose solutions
PC skills
It is preferred if you have soldering, welding or brazing in a precision environment, but this is not essential
You will be working 08:30 - 17:30 Mon - Fri, and must be flexible as you may be required to work additional hours and overtime is not available.
The salary is approximately 30,000 per annum depending on experience.
