Description

We have an exciting opportunity within a rapidly growing Aerospace company for fixed wing B1 licensed Engineers to be based out of their Oxford site.

Responsibilities

1. To conduct and complete aircraft maintenance as appropriate, to the required standards with reference to manufacturers manuals where necessary.

2. To be responsible for own work, without supervision and where necessary working at client sites. Ensuring that all the necessary tools and manuals required to perform the maintenance planned are to hand.

3. Ensuring that statutory and Company Quality standard for the maintenance overhaul and modification of aircraft and equipment are adhered to including the maintenance of correct and adequate standards of cleanliness and tidiness as applicable to the work in hand.

4. Liaising with Logistics to ensure the necessary spares required to perform all maintenance planned are available/requisitioned.

5. Ensure worksheets/work packs and timecards are correctly completed and forwarded to Technical Records in a timely manner.

6. Ensure all work is completed to company standard, to regulatory body approval e.g. CAA, FAA, meeting our obligation to clients and within deadline, and providing a quality service.

7. Where appropriate communicate directly with clients to provide good service.

8. Representing the company at all times in a professional matter. Dealing with clients and external customers with positive attitude and not engaging in imparting information on internal company matters or personal opinions.

9. In conjunction with the team, plan ahead to complete the required maintenance and repairs, keeping the Fixed Wing Team Leaders, Fixed Wing Crew Chiefs and customers (internal and external) appraised of the progress.

10. Agree to supervise and approve work carried out by other team members not holding company approval/stamp.

11. Work effectively and efficiently to minimise overtime and wastage of materials or resources.

12. Ensure clear, sufficient communication between pilots, customers, other licensed engineers; rotary Licensed Aircraft Engineers and Licensed Avionics Engineers where appropriate.

13. Note pilot observations, no matter how small and determine whether the issue needs to be scheduled for work before it escalates.

14. Continuously check and refer to manuals and manufacturers guidelines to ensure compliance with the required standard.

15. Observe the rules set down by external regulatory bodies e.g. CAA, FAA, JAA etc.

16. Continuously assess the requirement of the specific job at hand to anticipate potential problem areas in advance, suggesting possible solutions to the Fixed Wing Team Leaders and identify the impact on other related areas.

17. Problem solve tasks, looking ahead and avoid escalation of the repair or maintenance need.

18. Compliance with Company Health and Safety procedures at all times. Ensure all health and safety standards are maintained and work is conducted without putting yourself or others at risk.

19. Particular care must be taken on removal of aircraft parts, mobility on the aircraft whilst working on it from a height, so that you are not at risk of falling or dropping equipment/debris onto others. Report to your manager any possible risks or potential hazards.

20. To conduct the work at another company facility or a client site as directed by the Chief Engineer.

21. To successfully complete company sponsored training as required, adhering to the bonded training agreements.

22. Personally ensuring that you maintain a valid passport for travel with at least six months duration left on the passport at date of return to the UK.

23. Undertake Duty Engineer and Crew Chief responsibilities as required on the duty roster.
