Avionics Systems Engineer

A vacancy exists, within a team of technical specialists undertaking avionics and systems engineering.
The role will involve working on the following activities for the A350 IMA common computing platform and RDC:
Working with landing gear and fuel systems teams to evaluate the interfacing needs of their systems and to define areas of commonality and standardisation.
Working with equivalent Toulouse and Hamburg teams to define common airbus standards for managing I/O.
To define the detailed specification of I/O for common avionics components.
To perform equipment supplier follow up of the I/O implementation within new common avionics components.

Role Description, qualifications, knowledge and experience:
Role:
To perform this role the candidate should:
Understand and be able to develop I/O specifications for avionics components, especially to ensure interoperability and accuracy.
Understand at a system level the design of avionics computers and networks.
Be aware of the issues encountered for avionics interfaces, e.g.: lighting, EMI/EMC, monitoring, isolation.
Be able to use MS office tools to arrange, manipulate and present significant amounts of technical data and information.
Be able to support travel for intra-airbus and external supplier meetings.
