Avionic Systems Engineer required for a contract role until year end. The initial activity will be to work within two small teams responsible for ensuring the integration of user systems onto Integrated Modular Avionics platforms. The primary role will to be to develop, support and perform the integration of system and sub-system models onto test benches. As a secondary role the candidate will be expected to support the definition of process and techniques to automate the integration of such models.
Specifically candidate will be expected to:
- Develop and modify sub-system models within Simulink
- Manage the generation, modification and integration of software from these models onto VxWorks real time and PC based sytems.
- Prepare associated technical documentation
- Manage the generation, modification and integration of model code onto prototype avionics platforms
Essential Skills
- Simulink
- C And C++ programming for embedded real time systems
- Experience of Avionics systems design/engineering
- Experienced with using MS Excel
- Experience of ethernet networks at message definition and protocol level an advantage
- Experience of operating systems (Windows, VxWorks especially and Unix)
- Knowledge of TK/TCL an advantage
- Presentational skills an advantage
