As one of the UKs leading truck dealers, our client is a Volvo, Hino and Isuzu Truck and Bus dealership employing 330 people across eight locations in the South of England. They are now looking to recruit an Automotive Workshop Controller to join their team.

As one of the UKs leading truck dealers, our client is a Volvo, Hino and Isuzu Truck and Bus dealership employing 330 people across eight locations in the South of England. They are now looking to recruit an Automotive Workshop Controller to join their team.

Applying your knowledge of heavy vehicle mechanics, in this role you will be responsible for effectively delegating technical work to the Workshop Technicians. You will be supported by a Shift Foreman.
As the Automotive Workshop Controller your duties will include:
- motivating and managing Technicians
- ensuring performance targets and customer expectations are met
- maintaining accurate paperwork
- overseeing the day-to-day running of the workshop
- liaising with customers and suppliers
To succeed in this position you must have technical knowledge of heavy goods mechanics, strong leadership skills and the ability to work under pressure. You must also have basic computer skills (email and Word).
The successful candidate will work 39 hours a week covering the early and late shift on an alternate basis, and every other Saturday morning (paid at overtime rates).
