Our Client requires a Transmission Technician to implement industry best practice for all aspects of Build, Test and Development. To provide hands on support to projects in all aspects of test and development of prototypes transmissions, test rigs and demonstration vehicles.The role will require someone with Build & Test of prototype automotive transmissions experience. Assembly & operation of transmission & component test rigs. Powertrain installation work demonstration vehicles. To follow and further develop in-house Build, Test & Measurement procedures. Experience of developing or reconditioning vehicle engines & gearboxes. Operation of test rigs & vehicle installations. Experience of building modern automatic transmissions with electro-hydraulic control systems would be advantageous, but not essential.A Full UK Licence shall be required and travel involved for this position, Conversational French will be an advantage. Ability in any other European language would be an advantage. Travel requirements which will involve early morning departures and late returns and with longer haul jet-lag, travel recovery time will be included in this position.
